FOLLOWING the weekend's games, Wales U21 manager Brian Flynn has added Wrexham's Kai Edwards to his squad that will travel out to Northern Ireland for Tuesday night's friendly in Ballymena.

The youth team player has been involved with Wales at numerous levels in recent years and hopes are high that he will push on to become a regular with the U21s at some stage soon.

Still only 18, the Prestatyn-based centre half has continued to impress this season and has been a major part of our youth team's success, which sees them riding high at the top of the Football League Youth Alliance.

Their game at Preston North End was cancelled due to a frozen pitch in Lancashire yesterday, but the team hopes to be back in action on Tuesday afternoon with a visit to Chester City (2.00), although with the current weather conditions, that must also be in doubt at this stage.

Wales have now called up Marc Williams, Neil Taylor, Jon Brown, Chris Maxwell and Kai, while Silvio Spann is today flying out to Trinidad & Tobago ahead of Wednesday night's World Cup qualifier with El Salavdor.
