Two days after losing two goal lead at Crawley Town and having a man sent off who missed this match along with Curtis Obeng meanuing a debut for our recent signing from Glasgow Rangers at right back Wrexham in front of a big crowd from Wrexbam,less than 60 from Crawley Town were held to a goalless draw in a very ill temprered first half not helped by the referee who was giving Crawley everything and Wrexham notbing and after a bad tackle by a crawley player on Mangan which the ref did nothing about,our new signing took his own revenge and was lucky to stay on the pitch after bad tackle feom behind which the Crawley bench were not happy abouteven though it waa a shocjing foul on Mangan first but that was lost on Steve Evans and his assistant who who was shown a red card after mouthing off to the ref and makinv a stamping action with his foot accusing the Wrexhamplayer. This was the first of many flashpoints in the first half and Crawley Town were getting away with murder whilst Wrexham were penalised for evwrything. Crawley must have been raking diving lessons as everytime they got tackled by a Wrexham player they wwnt down as if rhwy were shot by a sniper,disgraceful actions which the league need to stp down on. Wrexham ro be fair played really poor and insisted on hitting the long ball throughout the whole match which didnt work and why Saundees relied on the long ball after playing so well when knocking the ball around on the floor only he knows. No real chances first half but in the first minute of the second half Ceeuighton bad a free geader two yards out and the player standing on the line actually hit hia foot ro go for a corner. Gareth Taylor came on for Pogba and did absolutely nothing not even winning a header then on came Ciewelscki with 15mins left to replace Morrell and with the poles first run in front of the Mold Road stand which was full he skinned four of the Crawley Town players as if they werent there and crossed for i to come to nothing and even though he was in plenty of space the ball only came to him just once more whwre he had the home crowd on their feet and again went past defenders as if tbey werent there. Percival .ame on for Tolley but at the end result I left the racecourse feeling vwry down because we had two shots on target and Scott Shearer the ex Wrexham keeper didnt have a shot to save all night but looked dodgy on back passes and if Cieweslcki had started then Im sure we would have beat them. Saunders for gods sake put tbe pole in the starting line up as hbe lifts the whole crowd,the team and the opposition are scared of him.

Wrexham have recruited Glasgow Rangers defender Jordan McMillan on loan for the rest of the season.

Wrexham have recruited Glasgow Rangers defender Jordan McMillan on loan for the rest of the season.
A deal was brokered between the clubs late on Monday, with the FA of Wales accepting his clearance before the deadline. Wrexham were just waiting to hear confirmation of the signing from the Football Conference.
"Jordan is a 22-year-old defender who can play full-back or along the back four," said manager Dean Saunders.
"He has featured in the Rangers first team on a few occasions and also enjoyed loan spells with Hamilton and Queen of the South.
"Walter Smith has been very helpful over the deal and we would like to thank all at Ibrox for their assistance."
McMillan goes to the Racecourse where he will team up with ex-Rangers centre back Marvin Andrews.
McMillan said: "It's a good move for me because I need to be playing and it will be great to see Marvin."

THE Directors, staff and players of Wrexham FC would like to apologise to their counterparts at Mansfield Town for the actions of a small number of people in the away stand at Field Mill this afternoon.
Wrexham supporters travel the length and breadth of England and Wales supporting their club and to see a handful letting everyone else down is deeply disappointing.
As is normally the case, these people are not regulars at our games, but that doesn't disguise the fact they have travelled from Wrexham.
As and when any individuals are identified as being involved, then they will automatically receive bans from the Racecourse Ground.
There is no room for this people in the game.

Truth Behind The Scenes At Wrexham Football Club
This is the first time you will read this on the internet and if you are a Wrexham fan you will be fuming like I was when I got told but cannot reveal my source.
The Crusaders In France
The rugby team Crusaders who have debts of £2 million pounds amazingly went to France last Thursday tp do a bit of training and come back this week where they will be training at their new training ground in the middle of Queens Park at Queensway. Wrexham Fc have paid a firm £1,000 to paint just two rooms in the Queensway complex no bigger than the size of an everage living room round here,even though it is a council run business.
Burst Pipes
During the recent cold weather spell there are burst pipes all around The Racecourse and they had a plumber there 8 hours a day for two weeks. It took him a week to find the stopock, yes a week as no0one knew where it was and the pipes are bursting with leaks still today, so whether the Eric Roberts Stand is open for the next home match no-one is sure.
I dont have figures for the plumber but I do know they don`t come cheap.
Club Shop
The club shop is soon going to be taken over and the merchandise is going to be replaced but atthios moment in time I forget the name of the company who are taking it overbut as soon as I remember it I will post it here.

MUCH-travelled midfielder Lee Fowler signs week to week contract at Wrexham
Fowler, 27, has been training at Colliers Park since before Christmas following his release by Forest Green Rovers where he revealed his long-standing battle with alcoholism.
But Wrexham manager Dean Saunders believes the former Wales under-21 international can conquer his demons.
“Lee is a really good footballer who needs to get back on track and resurrect his career,” he said yesterday.
Fowler’s arrival coincides with the departure from the club of winger Kevin Gall by mutual consent.
The 28-year-old joined Wrexham last summer but has figured in only five league matches to date and the Dragons boss admitted the move had not worked out.
“My intention was for Kevin to play on the right wing and he was involved early on, but then I changed the system and at the moment he is a mile away from the first team,” added Saunders.
“We need to free up some money as well, so it’s best for us and for Kevin to part company.”
Out-of-favour midfielder Christian Smith has gone on loan to Barrow for the remainder of the season and Wes Baynes, currently on loan at Altrincham, will be remaining at Moss Lane for the duration.
But Saunders said it was unlikely he would be looking to boost squad numbers during the transfer window.
“Unless someone outstanding comes onto the radar or we suffer some bad injuries this month I won’t be doing anything,” he said.
“We are going along quite nicely at the moment so I’m satisfied with the squad we have got.”
Gall parts ways with Wrexham
The 28-year-old striker, who can also operate on the wing, made just five-first team appearances for Dean Saunders' side since his summer switch from York City.
He last featured in Wrexham's home draw with York in mid-September.
Commenting on Gall's departure, Saunders told the club's official website: "We sat down and discussed things this morning and decided in the end to shake hands and go our separate ways.
"When Kevin first arrived he was playing in the side, as I was looking at him to come in off the wing and contribute goals.
"I then changed the system a little and that, unfortunately, then left him out in the cold somewhat.
"At the moment he is not close to the first team, so the best thing for all concerned looks like a fresh start for the lad.
"He joined in with training this morning and we have parted company on good terms, we all wish him well with his next club."
Gall added: "It hasn't quite worked out the way any of us would have hoped, but I have still enjoyed my time at Wrexham.
"There are a good group of players here who, I'm sure, will go on and do well for the club.
"The people behind the scenes have also been decent to me, so I'll take away a number of good memories.
"I have one or two things on the go, both up here and back in south Wales, so we'll just have to see where they take me."

Crusaders Evicted
The Crusaders have been evicted from Stansty for not paying their billsand are apparently planning to train in Queens Park once they have permission. Garwth will be subject to some gay chants for sure down there.
When Creighton was signing for Wrexham last Friday the meeting was rudely interrupted by the rugby physio demanding some towels for their match two days later even though he was told tbey were in the process of signing a playyrr. Who says Rugby does not interfere with the football.

Food at Wrexham Football Club
Has anyone else noticed that the chips at Wrexham have been a lot nicer the last two home games. I will let you in on a secret ha. They only went and ordered the wrong type of chops so instead of those horrible french fries they have got proper chips and boy do they taste better, as long as you buy them before kick off as they have gone hard by half time as they cook too many then expect us to buy them half time what they cooked an hour earlier

Do You Wanna Know What Saunders Was Doing Last Week?
Wrexham tried to beat the freeze last week by getting some ground covers for The Racecourse pitch but the only problem was they didn`t go for them to Widnes until Thursday and as it was freezing all of last week, going for the covers on the Thursday was 5 days too late and the covers didn`t even make the racecourse pitch as the ref came for 4pm last Thursday and called it off before he entered the playing surface, so the covers were taken to Colliers Park and put on the all weather pitch while Saunders was driving round the training pitches in a van with a drag mat on and when Les Williams turned up, Saunders warned him not to take any photographs.
Boy would that have been funny.
Oh and because we are doing so well (ha ha) in the league Saunders gave everyone last Wednesday off even though they only train for less than 2 hours per day anyway.
One bit of team news is that Gareth Taylor got injured in one of the training games and limped off but don`t know if it is serious or not

Wrexham who totally domintated this match and should have won by at least 3 goals were guilty of missing open goals, two from Gareth Taylor and in the end it cost them as Wimbledon scored two goals with their only two shots of the match. It is the best Wrexham have played all season and they should have got the 3 points but instead only collect one point from two home matches this week. Their next home match is against Luton Town in three weeks which is on a Thursday and live on Sky.
Andy Mangan scored his first goal of the season to put Wrexham 1-0 up and that`s how it was at half time. Second half Wrexham fell asleep and conceded a goal with a minute of the 2nd half and then Wimbledon scored about ten minutes from the end to condemn Wrexham to defeat which they did not deserve.

Since Saunders has been relieved of his Welsh duties Wrexham have definitely seen an improvement in their fortunes and Saunders has changed from 4-5-1 to 4-3-3 and it is definitely better to watch and is also getting us a lot more points and we now look capable of scoring against anyone. This should be a cracking game to watch and I omagine will be the second biggest attendance at The Racecourse this season

The first time I can ever recall the opposition having no fans at all. Has it ever happened in a match before at The Racecourse? I don`t think it has.
Wrexham made it eight games unbeaten as they brushed aside struggling Histon.
Jamie Tolley opened the scoring for the Welsh side from close range after Andy Mangan drove into the Histon area and laid the ball off for the midfielder.
Dean Keates doubled Wrexham's lead soon after with a spectacular free-kick that the captain fired into the top corner.
Mangan set up the Dragons' third with a perfect near-post cross that Gareth Taylor buried, before Nathaniel Knight-Percival grabbed a close-range fourth.

Wrexham domatied this match from start to finish but in the end were thankful for the draw. They fell behind midway through first half when Barrow on their only attack scored with a long ball upfield which Marvin Andrews for second game running made a mess of a header which wad directed to centre of 18 yard box which fell kindly to their playet who slottef the ball home to make it 1-0 with their only attack of the half. 2nd half it was Wxm attack after attack after attack and no matter what we did we never looked like scoring until Marvin Andrews was sent up front in ijury time and with a great run down the right in front of The Mold Road Stand delivered the best cross of the afternoon which the Wrexham player missed but their defender could not get out of the way and came off him and straight into the goal for an injury time own goal equaliser which is no more than what Wrexham deserved.

Any win these days is a great win even though Bath v Wrexham does not sound right but this is where we are at prsent and there is nothing we can do about it except to keep winning matches. Wrexham included old favourite Andy Morrell in their starting line up and he got a good welcome back from the small crowd that actually bothered to turn up for this pre-season friendly against a Liverpool reserve and youth team mixture which is not what Liverpool promised when they signed a couple of Wrexham academy players earlier in the year, so in that respect it was very disappointing that Liverpool did not fulfill their part of the deal. Liverpool did include goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis who was supposed to sign for Wrexham last season but in the end he didn`t and thank god for that. His display here was awful, can`t kick, can`t catch and absolutely rubbish.
Wrexham players that impressed me were Jay Harris who was absolutely superb. A bit like Robbie Garrett but ten times more skilful and his tackling was nothing short of unbelieveable, but I am sure that he will see red once or twice this season because of the type of player he is but what a player.
Another player to impress was Nat Knight-Percival who won everything in the air and took players on as if they weren`t there. He could well be the player who finally replaces Carlos Edwards down the wing as he is that good.
Chris Blackburn was another player who was impressive at the back unlike Frank Sinclair who very nearly scored another own goal when in the first five minutes of the second half with the ball inside the Wrexham penalty box and with Maxwell rushing off his line to try to get to the ball, Sinclair decided to just touch the ball which then went past Maxwell who dived backwards to save the ball from going into the goal as he had no other option, but the referee who obviously doesn`t know the rules of the game awarded a free kick for a back pass. I know it was a back pass but if he hadn`t have dived and saved it, it would have been a goal so this is where common sense comes into play unless you happen to be in charge of a Wrexham match. Wrexham had every player back on the goal line only for Liverpool to hit the ball high and over the crossbar.
Adrian Cieslewicz came on as sub second half and within five minutes went on one of his runs nd took 3 Liverpool players on and skinned them before he was brought down and the Liverpool defender shown a yellow card. Give this lad a chance this season and by that I mean give him several matches on the bounce and watch his confidence grow and he will take players on and will put some good crosses in but the more games he has then he will grow in confidence and then watch this lad go.

Andy Mangan had a great chance to put Wrexham ahead when he was one on one with the keeper and the ball bounced at the right height for Mangan to lob the keeper who was off his line but instead opted to take the keeper on who easily took the ball from Mangan`s feet. It`s about time that Mangan started paying Wrexham back because he plays 90 minutes most matches and he is just not doing the business. He needs to do it this season or let`s get rid.
My only concern is that even though this was a friendly against a bunch of Liverpool reserve and youth players Saunders still only played one up front and we don`t look like scoring. One up front in this match was a disgrace and if this is going to be Saunders tactics again this year then we will once again have nohing to cheer. Who the hell plays one up front in a friendly at home against a bunch of reserve and youth team players. I will tell you - no-one else just Saunders.

Aberyswyth 1 Wrexham 0 Saturday 17th July 2010
Wrexham lost to Aberyswyth 1-0 after spending a few days down on the coast. Despite plenty of possession it was the same old story with Wrexham not looking likely to score if they played all day.
Marc Williams played again and once again failed to score which makes it 22 matches since he last scored a goal in a Wrexham shirt.
I know it`s only a friendly but we need to start creating chances and scoring goals but with Marc Williams and Andy Fleming in the team ( 1 goal in 3 years ) then I fear we are in for another fruitless season if the pre-season friendlies are anything to go by.
Andy Fleming who refused to sign a new contract at the end of the season and said he was off but no-one has put any offers in for him which is hardly surprising as who wants a midfielder who has scored just the one goal in 3 years has even had the cheek to demand a pay rise to stop. Let him go and get someone in who knows where the goal is and while you are at it, get rid of Marc Williams as well.

With a team consisting mainly of trialists against a second string Bala Town team Wrexham failed to win this game which surprised a few. Bala Town did not include their new signing Mark Jones and Ricky Evans didn`t play either but a certain Danny Williams was in the Bala Team. Wrexham had three asains in their team, with two of them starting and then getting subbed later on when the third asain came on and what I seen of them, they are no better than what we already have. A big black lad up front did a good run going past two players only for him to then fall over the ball.
Wrexham did include a certain Marc Williams who yet again failed to score and that is now 21 games since he last scored and Saunders kept him on, albeit for 6 months with a view to extend if he does well. How many other strikers would go 21 games without a goal and still be given a new contract. I will tell you exactly how many. Zero----

WREXHAM began their pre-season programme with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Vauxhall Motors at Rivacre Park last night (Tuesday, July 13).
WREXHAM began their pre-season programme with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Vauxhall Motors at Rivacre Park last night (Tuesday, July 13).
Goals from Andy Mangan and trialist midfielder Jamie Tolley put Wrexham in control at the break and a penalty from Gareth Taylor – expected to sign a new contract – in the second half, and Christian Smith strike secured the win.
More chances came Wrexham’s way in a game they dominated and they could have won by a bigger margin.
Manager Dean Saunders, who used a total of 22 players, was treating the game as a training exercise but there were plenty of positives to take from the first friendly of the summer.
Just two of Saunders’ seven new signings – centre-back Chris Blackburn and midfielder Dean Keates – were not included in the squad, although neither had serious injury concerns.
Blackburn was given extra recovery time following his play-off excursions with former club Aldershot in May, while Keates was recovering from a minor groin strain sustained in training.
But midfielder David Brown, winger Nat Knight Percival and striker Andy Morrell – back at The Racecourse for a second spell – were included in the side for the first 45 minutes along with trialists Cameron Mawer and Tolley.
Adrian Cieslewicz’s fourth minute drive was saved by keeper Scott Tynan but Wrexham were enjoying plenty of the ball and took a 1-0 lead just five minutes later.
Tolley’s shot was blocked by a defender and Andy Mangan was on hand to slot past Tynan.
Wrexham, well on top, continued to play neat passing football despite the deluge of rain and forced a series of corners.
Following another excellent move, the next scoring opportunity came in the 25th minute when Knight-Percival delivered a cross from the left wing and Cieslewicz’s effort was tipped over the bar by Tynan.
With Wrexham making good use of the flanks, Cieslewicz did well on the right and Knight-Percival almost got on the end of his teasing cross, while Motors finally tested Reds keeper Chris Maxwell when he did well to tip away Paul Brown’s powerful header.
Knight-Percival also headed wide from Johnny Hunt’s cross before Wrexham made it 2-0 one minute before the break.
Frank Sinclair won a midfield header and Tolley placed his 20-yard shot past Tynan into the bottom corner.

Paul Retout Suspended On Full Pay
Whatever the official line is from Wrexham fc about Paul Retout going to visit relatives in Australia for 6 months , it is a lie. Paul Retout has been officially suspended by Wrexham Fc for 6 months and is under police investigation and I doubt very much that he will be allowed to go abroad while under investigation. He was actually at Colliers Park last week despite people saying he was already abroad.

Saunders Finally Lost The Plot
After getting rid of most of our better players at the end of last season, Saunders promised toget a few strikers in as our defence was one of the best but we just couldn`t score a goal for love or money until Andy Mangan turned up but by then our season was already over. Anyway back to the strikers Saunders promised to bring in. The last two weeks we have signed two more defenders, one of whom played for Chester last season before they were forced out of business and shut their ground for the last time as Chester City Football Club, albeit a new team has been formed and will start in a league five divisions below Wrexham. The other defender who was on Peterborough`s books last season has decided to drop down 3 divisions because he was not happy. If he was not happy in The Championship wait till he arrives at Wrexham and everyone plays out of position. I fear he will not last the season, hopefully Saunders will follow him.

Real Reason Luke Holden Was Released
The real reason Luke Holden Was released from Wrexham last week was nothing to do with his footballing skills, it was because he kept fighting with other players in training. Less than two weeks ago he was fighting with Frank Sinclair. To be fair to the lad he was not a bad player but you cant have someone like that in the squad.

Kevin Sandwith claimed the only goal for promotion-chasing Oxford who left it late to see off Wrexham at the Kassam Stadium.
The defender broke the deadlock with eight minutes remaining, rising highest to head the ball down at the far post and into the net.
Matt Green had earlier seen his effort hit the visitors' bar.
But Wes Baynes almost claimed a point in injury-time when his free-kick was pushed on to the post by Billy Turley.

The Dragons, in their final home game of the season, gave fans free entry, but barely managed a shot on goal.
O'Connor tried to keep the ball in play with a header after Matt Pattison's corner, but saw the ball unexpectedly go in off Chris Maxwell's legs.
Diamonds had already secured their play-off place, while Wrexham were booed off the pitch at the end.
The win sees the visitors leapfrog York and move up to fourth in the table.

"It's disappointing because there was a big crowd here and I tried to egg the players on and show the fans how good we can be to encourage them to come back."

"Aaron O'Connor has rolled his ankle and I thought it was a poor challenge. I thought it was reckless.
"I thought it was a competitive game, very fair and end-to-end. Major decisions have gone against us but fortunately we've won the game.
"We've seen the results and it makes going into next week a little bit more interesting. It could all change on the last game of the season."

In front of just over 2,300 spectators were abysmal and for the second time in a month failed to find the back of the net against part timers Gateshead. All Wrexham supporters were handed a leaflet to vote on what we liked and didnt like about Wrexham Fc starting from the bottom to the top and the PA System is shocking and right on cue it failed, but when it works it is so quiet in The Mold Road Stand that you cant hear a word anyone says and you could not even hear the team news. No fanfare for the teams to come out to which is after all the most exciting part especially for the kids. No place for McCluskey who is one of our most talented players yet never gets much of a look in but a rare start for Mark Jones albeit on the right wing even though his best position is in the middle of the park. It was a totally forgettable first half and the only player who tried to make things happen was Mark Jones but even he cant do it all by himself. 2nd half and on comes the most selfish player we have in Wes Baynes who took one free kick which nearly cleared the roof of the kop. Saunders then does the usual sub and takes Mark Jones off and replaces him with Luke Holden.(last 3 times Mark has been taken off the opposition have scored). Holden who is left footed immediately went to the right wing and it was not long before he got a yellow card for deliberately bringing down their player, about ten mins later he was running with the ball in front of The Mold Road Stand attacking the Kop end when he thread the ball between two defenders and deliberately dived on the edge of The penalty area and was shown a 2nd yellow and he was given his marching orders to the dismay of people around me but he had to go and he should be fined because what he did was a disgrace. At the end there were shouts me ' What a load of rubbish' and I couldn't agree more.

A disastrous end to a match which started badly and ended badly but inbetween Wrexham were on top. First half Wrexham were poor and the Wrexham keeper Maxwell saved a penalty. 2nd half Wrexham took the lead through an own goal by the Wimbledon keeper and were closing Wimbledon down a lot faster than the first half and could have scored another two during the second half and in the 90th min disaster. Obeng passes to the keeper and ends up going for a corner where Sinclair scores an own goal. 91st min Mangan puts Wrexham 2-1 up. 92nd minute Sinclair gives a penalty away and gets sent off for the 4th time this season and the match ends 2-2

Lamine Sakho Released
Wrexham have released the former Leeds striker Lamine Sakho after he failed to impress during his time at The Racecourse despite his ability but with only one goal it was felt his heart was not in it and his last piece of action was to storm off the pitch and straight down the tunnel leaving Wrexham with ten men for several minutes while the sub got ready. Wrexham have also signed a young striker which I have my doubts about especially as he lacks experience and goals which is what we already lack.

Gateshead 1 Wrexham 0 Tuesday 23rd March 2010
Chris Maxwell who was playing in goal instead of Sam Russell made the mistake which led to Gateshead`s goal and ultimately the winner. I can`t believe that Saunders choose Maxwell over Russell as it is clear it`s not Russell who is to blame for the poor run of results but the management team for making the stupid subs they do. When we are losing they leave the team as it is when it is cryig out for changes but when we are winning like last Saturday 2-0 at home v Cambridge they make three subs, all defensive negative one`s and invite Cambridge onto us which is exactly what happened last Saturday and in the end we were lucky to draw 2-2 as they had another chance near the end which Russell did well to save.
Time for Saunders to go. I have had enough of wasting my time and money watching crap.

DEFENDER Kyle Critchell has agreed a deal which will see him leave the club with immediate effect, despite having a season left on his current contract, the necessary paperwork will be completed shortly.
The 22-year-old Wales U21 international had progressed through the youth and reserve teams at Southampton and also enjoyed a loan spell with Torquay United.
He left for Chesterfield in 2007 and was released by them after half a season, when he moved to Weymouth, his hometown club.
A move to Wrexham followed last summer, but he was suspended for the first three games of the season (following a red card in his final match with Weymouth) and then picked up an injury in training at the end of August.
After recovering from this ankle problem four months later, he said he was looking to be loaned out to help improve his first team chances at Wrexham. Joining fellow Conference side York City on a month's loan in early January 2009.
He was due to make his debut a day later against former club Weymouth, but the match was postponed due to the bad weather, before eventually made his first appearance after playing in the 2-1 victory over Oxford United ten days later.
His loan was extended for a second month on 4 February and finished with him making 11 appearances for the Minstermen.
Coming back to Wrexham in early March, Kyle then rejoined his local side Weymouth on loan until the end of the season. Playing eight times while with Weymouth, one bright spot as the Terras were relegated to the Conference South.
In total, Kyle only played two games for the Dragons, both last August.
He leaves with our best wishes and we hope he will soon be settled with a new club.

Nat Brown has revealed he wants to leave the club so he can get first team football and not just sit and languish in the reserves. Personally I don`t think Matt has had much of a look in at Wrexham and maybe if he had had a decent look in then he would have made the centre back position his own as every time I saw him play, he always played quite a decent game so not sure if I am glad he is leaving or gutted. It`s one of them.

Levi Macken & Shaun Walley have both been released by Wrexham manager Dean Saunders. Both of them spent most of last season on loan at York City and Southport respectively but have been told they are no longer required at Wrexham. I am glad to see them both go as I thought both of them were uselesss footballers and have been very fortunate to be given a chance to play football for a living. If I was them I suggest they start looking for a proper job because they never going to make a decent living out of football as they are not good enough.

Nathan Fairhurst joins Wrexham full time.
MIDFIELD player Nathan Fairhurst believes he has made the right choice by joining Wrexham, rather than staying with Championship club Preston North End.
The 19-year-old says the opportunity to play regular first team football with the Dragons is a better option rather than sit on the bench or play reserve team football at Preston where he was offered a new contract. I wish Nathan all the best and am sure that if he has a successful season then there will be a host of clubs trying to get his signature as he is too good to be playing non league football for more than a season.

Christian Gyan - The only match I seen him play, he was subbed at half time as he was shocking.
Anthony Williams - People claim he kept Wrexham in the league the season they beat Boston on the last day but he played about 12 games after coming in on loan and he was very lucky as all the shots in those 12 games came at a decent height and mae him look a better keeper than he was. Useless and good riddance.
Chris Marriott - Never saw him play.
Simon Spender - The promise he had as a youngster was never seen and was not good enough for Wrexham. Only reason he got a run in the team because Brian Little and Brian Carey don`t have a clue about playing football the proper way and thought he was the answer to someone with a bit of skill taking on players.

Christian Gyan (born 1978-11-02 in Tema) is a Ghanaian footballer who currently plays for Wrexham. Gyan signed for Feyenoord Rotterdam in 1996. During the following season the club send him on loan to Excelsior. After only a couple of months Feyenoord recalled the defender, and he made his debut for Feyenoord that same season. Wrexham manager Dean Saunders yesterday strengthened his promotion-chasing squad by signing winger Jamie McCluskey and he is actively pursuing yet more targets to keep his players fresh for the final 10 weeks of the season.
Saunders said new boy McCluskey faced a battle for selection, but predicted he would quickly become a crowd-pleaser at the Racecourse.
"Jamie has joined us until the end of the season and if he does well we will give him a new deal next season.
"He has not played for a long time but the fans will love watching him. He is a very talented young player, but his first job is to force his way into the team. Once he has done that I’m sure he will become a crowd favourite."
McCluskey, at one time the youngest ever player to feature in the Scottish Premier League when at Hibernian, hopes his move to the Racecourse will finally launch a career blighted by injury. A twice-broken foot was at the root of the problem, but the 21-year old Scot is optimistic that the worst is behind him.
"I have only been here a week and a half and I’ve only trained with the other lads for three days," he said.
"This is a big opportunity for me to get back to playing regular football and I owe that to the manager and his staff who have all been great with me. I have been to Partizan Belgrade in Serbia and Catania in Italy, but I have not played for a year.
"Wrexham are obviously doing well, but I would not have signed for them unless I felt I had something to offer and I’ll be doing my best to break into the first team as quickly as possible."

DEAN SAUNDERS has lured Wales star Andrew Crofts to the Racecourse – but the midfielder couldn’t prevent Wrexham slipping to a 2-1 defeat at Burton Albion last night.
Crofts, who has 12 international caps, made his debut in the Pirelli Stadium loss after completing a whirlwind loan switch from League Two side Gillingham hours before the game.
The signing provided Saunders some consolation after watching his side throw away a 1-0 advantage against the league leaders, with Jefferson Louis opening the scoring on 23 minutes.
And the manager believes Crofts has a glittering career ahead of him, having watched the midfielder at close quarters while on international duty with Wales.
In dispute with his club Gillingham, where his contract expires at the end of the season, the 24-year old has joined the Dragons until the end of the season in order to play regular first team football.
And the Racecourse boss is delighted to have secured the player’s services for Wrexham’s bid to bounce back into the Football League at the first attempt.
“He’s coming to help us in this final push for promotion,” said Saunders.
“I know his qualities from working with him at Wales and this boy could end up playing in the Premiership. He played against Holland last summer, where he made a good impression on the coaching staff.
“This is a major coup for us and shows the ambition of the chairman and myself in trying get Wrexham promoted out of this league.
“Andrew’s presence brings experience and strength to the squad and he will bring the best out of our younger players. He is a good, solid character and certainly no fancy-dan player because he rolls his sleeves up and gets stuck in.
“Andrew will definitely move onto better things. But it shows the boy’s character that he is will to come and help a Welsh club in the short term. He really is doing us a big favour.
“Both John Toshack and myself advised the player that a move to Wrexham would be a big help to both him and Welsh football.”
Crofts has also won under 19 and under 21 honours and was Gillingham’s player of the year last season. He made nearly 200 appearances for the Kent club, scoring 17 goals.

Wrexham have been busy in the transfer market again, albeit only on loan. A new goalkeeper which we need and another central defender which we definitely don`t need. A striker is what we desperately require but can`t seem to get one. At last we have some real height in our defence which is what we desperately required. I have now lost count of the number of players we have signed permanently or got on loan in the last two years. Surely we must be talking over 50 players. Geoff Moss surely must be congratulated on the money he has spent since taking over at Wrexham or sent to the nearest mental institution and strapped to the chair for his own well being and mental health because let`s face it, who else would have ploughed the amount of money into Wrexham during the last year or so. DRAGONS SIGN FRENCH DEFENDER06/02/2009French central defender Aurelien Collin, who played nineteen matches for Scottish League side Gretna last season, has signed for Blue Square Premier club Wrexham until the end of the season. Collin (pictured) joined Gretna from Spanish La Liga club Mallorca in August 2007, signing a two-year contract with the club, but he only made 19 appearances before he was released by the then-SPL club before the end of last season. Trials at Championship clubs Blackpool, Preston North End and Wolves failed to lead to a permanent deal being offered, and Collin signed a one-year contract at Greek Premier League side Panserraikos. "He's played at a higher level, he's aggressive and he's another centre half," said Wrexham manager Dean Saunders, who saw defenders Steve Evans and Shaun Pejic leave the club my mutual consent this week.
